Canada election: Justin Trudeau's party wins parliamentary election, but far from majority
The Liberal Party won the most seats of any party. Trudeau drew on the popularity of his late father and former prime minister Pierre Trudeau in the 2015 election and won the election. Then leading the party in the last two elections, he led the party to victory on his own.

The Liberal Party is on the verge of winning 158 seats, one more than it won in 2019. He needed to win 170 seats for a majority in the House of Commons, leaving the Liberal Party 12 seats away.
The Conservative Party won 119 seats, the same number of seats it won in 2019, Bloc Québécois leading in 34 and the left-wing New Democratic Party in 25.
Trudeau, 49, does not seem likely to win enough seats, but he is in a position to form a stable minority government and will not be able to get a law passed without the support of other parties. But he will definitely win so many seats, there will be no danger of removing him from the post. The opposition has been accusing Trudeau of holding general elections two years ahead of schedule for their own benefit.
Trudeau said, "You have chosen to let us work with a clear majority to bring Canada out of the pandemic crisis." I have heard your voices that you want to redo those favorite things without worrying about the epidemic.
However, experts say Trudeau's victory is not what he was expecting. Daniel Beland, a professor of political science at McGill University in Montreal, said: "Trudeau's desire to get a majority failed to materialise. So I would say it is a sunny win for them. If seen, it will be like the old minority government. Trudeau and the leaders of the Liberal Party managed to survive and will remain in power.
Trudeau claimed that Canadians do not want a Conservative Party government during the pandemic. Canada is currently one of the countries in the world whose most citizens have been fully immunized. Trudeau argued that the Conservative Party's approach is dangerous because they are against the lockdown.
He said that the people of Canada need a government that follows science. Conservative Party leader Erin O'Tulle said her party's candidates do not need to be vaccinated and that he would not be able to tell how many people were vaccinated.
